We have opened up Fellowship applications for Fall of 2024. A number of students from around the world are now beginning to apply. This is a great joy to see the interest of graduate students in our Program. But WHY do they want to be a JJSF Fellow? Well.. we ask that question in our application form. Here we share with you anonymously some of the responses we get back. It will be much easier for you, as an outsider, to understand WHY we are so commited to working with these bright students.
Question to Applicant: Why are you seeking a JJSF Fellowship?
Their answer was: “I am seeking a JJSF Fellowship because I am deeply committed to sustainable development and believe that this fellowship will provide me with the unique opportunity to contribute to and learn from a community dedicated to academic sustainability. As a fourth-year engineering student, I am particularly interested in exploring sustainable practices within the energy sector. I am eager to collaborate with like-minded individuals, gain new insights, and apply innovative solutions to real-world challenges. The resources and support provided by JJSF will be invaluable in helping me to advance my knowledge and make a meaningful impact in promoting sustainable practices.”

Their answer was: I heard about this fellowship when the Fellowship had a meeting in IMGP at Ankatso Antananarivo. My friend talked me about fellowship and I was so interested about it. In that time, even if I’m not a member I didn’t hesitate to ask the group’s leader cause I was burning to wanna know more about this foundation and the leader explained to me about the JJSF fellowship and he warmly welcomed me to join the meeting to meet the team . I was so exciting to join the group so he said I can join on summer. Now I am applying on this JJSF fellowship because I wanna make some change. I WANT TO MAKE MADAGASCAR GREEN AGAIN!
