A Great Gift that we have been given:
As living, breathing sources of consciousness, we have the unique ability to communicate and share ideas, shaping the world around us. One of the most profound and transformative ideas we can promote is that of charity, which, in its purest form, embodies love and compassion.
However, it’s not uncommon for some to feel uncomfortable or even offended by acts of charity. This discomfort can stem from various reasons: perceived motives, moral judgments, cultural misunderstandings, or personal experiences. Yet, at the core of charity lies a universal truth—one that transcends individual biases and societal constructs. It’s a truth that has been echoed by great leaders and thinkers throughout history, including Jesus, who championed love and compassion even in the face of immense resistance.
Challenging Our Reactions
If you find yourself feeling skeptical, annoyed, or even offended by the charitable works of others, it’s important to take a moment to reflect on why these feelings arise. Here are some points to consider:
- Understanding Motives:
- Ask yourself if your reaction is based on a genuine concern about the motives behind the charity or if it stems from a place of cynicism. While some may indeed use charity for self-promotion, many others are driven by a sincere desire to make a positive difference. Recognizing the intent behind charitable acts can help reframe your perspective.
- Confronting Discomfort:
- Charity often challenges the status quo and can make us confront uncomfortable truths about inequality and our own roles in perpetuating or alleviating it. Instead of rejecting these feelings, use them as a catalyst for personal growth and societal change.
- Cultural Sensitivity:
- While it’s crucial to be mindful of cultural contexts, remember that the essence of charity—love and compassion—is a universal value. Reflect on whether your discomfort is due to a cultural disconnect or a deeper resistance to change.
- Impact on Self-Esteem:
- Sometimes, the charitable acts of others can make us feel inadequate or guilty about our own contributions. Instead of letting these feelings fester, consider how you can channel them into positive action. Remember, charity is not about comparison but about collective effort and shared humanity.
- Historical Perspective:
- Think about historical figures like Jesus, who promoted love and charity despite facing severe opposition. Their messages were revolutionary because they challenged entrenched beliefs and behaviors. The resistance they faced is a testament to the transformative power of their ideas.
Do I Assert a “Persecution” Against Those Promoting Charity?
You may wonder, “Do I assert a ‘persecution’ against those promoting charity?” This question is crucial for introspection. Jesus himself warned that promoting love and charity would invite persecution. He taught that those who assert the virtue of charity would likely face accusations of alternate motives, seeking recognition, and being self-serving. Even if none of these accusations are true, the reality is that they will arise.
This phenomenon appears to be a natural law, as taught by Jesus, who was (as so many believe) an uniquely attuned energy source here specifically to impart divine truths of the Universe. Understanding this can help us see that the backlash against charity is not a personal affront but a common or even instinctual reaction to transformative ideas that challenge existing paradigms or long held beliefs. Resistance appears to be easier on average than to realign our energies based on a new truth standing before us.
Take, as an Example, the Assertion of “Veganism”
Take, for instance, the assertion that some Sentients make today that they are vegan due to their love for animals. They assert that it is not our right to take the lives of other Sentients .. because it defys Love. Those individuals assert a type of charity which is very often met with derision. Common Assertions are: “Oh, they are only doing that to feel superior,” or “They are hypocrites,” or “That is so they can get attention!” are common reactions. But ask yourself, what if they just want to promote love? You are repaying them for that intent with derision. We might even call it persecution. The more they assert love, the more you assert, “They have other motives! They are disingenuous!”. But – what if they just want to promote Love?
Think about this as a principle in general: if you promote love in any form, you will be immediately confronted by accusations of ulterior motives. Try it—you will see.
Embracing Charity as Love
Ultimately, charity is an expression of love—a love for our fellow humans and for the world we inhabit. By promoting charity, we are not only helping those in need but also fostering a culture of empathy, compassion, and mutual support. This can be challenging, as it often requires us to confront our own biases and insecurities.
So, next time you encounter someone promoting charity, pause and reflect on your reaction. Are you rejecting the act because it challenges your comfort zone? Or is there a deeper, perhaps unacknowledged, resonance with the values being promoted?
By embracing the essence of charity and recognizing it as a universal call to love and compassion, we can overcome our defenses and contribute to a more just and caring world. Let us strive to see charity not as a threat but as an opportunity to connect with our shared humanity and to make a meaningful impact on the future.
Best Regards to you from the Foundation Manager, and wearer of too many hats – Ken Coman. In a nutshell – I wish for each of you to be a promoter of Positive Energy around you. It is our gift from God – this divine opportunity to promote any kind of Energy we value. We get to choose! It is costly in this world, to promote Love. Nevertheless, It is our great gift and opportunity to Love one another – and to encourage others to the same frequencies. But, as Jesus taught us, that will not be rewarded often in this life by any of the things that most may think comes with promoting Charity. No – the most common reaction of the Sentients around us in this world to promotion of love .. is to receive hatred in return. You will be msitrusted, accused, derided and dismissed. All of those reactions are easier for us – allowing us to continue on our own path without disruption in our energy patterns. It is a sad reality. But still – we who love God and who want Good to be the standard that we all strive towards – must bear a cross in pursuing Love as the standard. You will be met with resistance. It is as it is.
Nevertheless – Love one another – please.
